وعَنْهُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ﷺ) يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ حَيَّةٌ، فَيَذْهَبُ النَّاهِبُ إِلَى الْعَوَالِي ، فَيَأْتِيهِمْ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ، وَبَعْضُ الْعَوَالِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى أَرْبَعَةِ أَمْيَالٍ، أَوْ نَحْوه .

Narrated Anas bin Mâlik

Allâh's Messenger (ﷺ) used to offer the 'prayer at a time when the sun was still hot and high and if a person went to Al-'Al-Madina, he would reach there when the sun was still high. Some of Al-'Awali of Al-Madîna were about four miles or so from the town. [1:525-O.B.]
