25/1 Chapter:
Enjoining the Sadaqat-ul-Fitr.
باب: فَرْضِ صَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ

Mukhtasar Sahih Al-Bukhariعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (ﷺ) زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ . صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ، عَلَى الْعَبْدِ وَالحُرِّ، وَالذَّكَرِ وَالأُنثى، وَالصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ، مِنَ المُسْلِمِينَ، وَأَمَرَ بِهَا أَنْ تُؤَدَّى قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ النَّاسِ إِلَى الصَّلاةِ .
Narrated Ibn 'Umar
Allâh's Messenger (ﷺ) enjoined the payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakât-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the 'Eid prayer. (One Sa' = 3 kilograms approx.) [2:579-O.B.]
25/2 Chapter:
Sadaqat-ul-Fitr is to be given before the ' Eid prayer.
باب: الصَّدَقَةِ قَبْلَ الْعِيد
25/3 Chapter:
Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (is compulsory) on a slave as well as on a free Muslim.
باب صَدَقَةِ الفِطْرِ عَلَى الحُرِّ وَالمَمْلُوكِ

Mukhtasar Sahih Al-Bukhariعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُما قَالَ : فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ﷺ) صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ، صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْتَمْرِ، عَلى الصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِير، والحُرِّ والمَمْلُوكِ .
Narrated Ibn 'Umar
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has made Sadaqat-ul-Fitr obligatory, (and it was), either one Sa ' of barley or one Sa of dates (and it was enjoined) on young and old people, and on free men as well as on slaves. [2:588-0.B.]
