62. The Book of Provision (outlay) and the Superiority of Providing for Ones Family

62/1 Chapter:
To provide one's family with food sufficient for one year in advance. And how one should spend on his dependants.
باب حَبْسَ الرَّجُل قُوتَ سَنَةٍ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ وَكَيْفَ نَفَقَاتُ الْعِيَالِ

Mukhtasar Sahih Al-Bukhariعَنْ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ (ﷺ) كَانَ يَبيعُ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ ، وَيَحْبِسُ لِأَهْلِهِ قُوتَ سَنَتِهِمْ .
Narrated Umar bin Al-Khattab
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to sell the dates of the garden of Banî An-and store food for his family that would cover their needs for a whole year. [7:270-O.B]
